A Family Nursery, Rooted Here for Over 50 Years.
Home of McMahan Nursery. We grow trees, shrubs, perennials and the kind of plants that thrive in the valley, and we take the time to help you pick ones that will actually last. Come see what is growing.

Grown & tended by
A family that has done this for half a century.

We are McMahan's, and we have been growing things here for more than 50 years.
Out on West Wapato Road, our place is part nursery, part farm and mercantile, home of McMahan Nursery. We are family-owned and we have spent over five decades learning what grows well in the Yakima Valley, and what does not.
When you come out, you will usually find one of us nearby. Cindy will happily talk you through how to water and care for a plant through the year, and Jessica can help you pick out or order the right trees for a particular project. It is the kind of help you only get from people who actually grow what they sell.
We are not the biggest place, and we like it that way. It means we can take the time with you. As one neighbor put it, we are a bit of a diamond in the rough, and we would love for you to find us.

We tend what we sell
A real selection, not a parking-lot rack.

Tell us what you are after and we will often hop you on the golf cart and drive you out to see the trees and plants in person before you decide.
Plant Care That Sticks
We do not just sell you a plant and wave goodbye. We will tell you how to water it and look after it year-round so it actually survives.
Pick It or Order It
Looking for something specific for a project? We can help you choose the right trees, or order in what we do not have on the lot.

Trees are our specialty, the arbor in Arbor Acres. We grow a real selection of shade and ornamental trees alongside shrubs, perennials, annuals, roses and more. Each tree is tagged with its variety and care details.
That is the whole point of coming out to a family nursery. Our team, including Cindy and Jessica, will talk you through what grows well in this valley, how to care for it, and which trees suit your project. We are happy to take the time.
Often, yes. If you are after a particular tree or plant for a project and we do not have it on the lot, give us a call and we will see about ordering it in for you.
Always. We will send you off knowing how to water and care for what you buy through the seasons. Plenty of folks tell us their plants thrived because of the guidance, and that matters to us as much as the sale.
